Basically - what would you write if you were applying for a job?
If you are going to study history - tell them why they should let you study history. tell them you are organised, self motivated, a good time keeper etc (only if you are mind - no point lying)

All you have to do is write about yourself and basically sell yourself as the ideal student who is well rounded with social activities as well as academia
Obviously it has to be directed to the area you are planning on studying at college and the reasons why you are interested in it
No-one on Yahoo Answers has this information so like it or not YOU will have to end up writing this statement which is all about you...so who better anyway?
Good Luck

regardless of what some human beings think of, many universities will see by each and all of the limitless applicants who write that they have had to be a lawyer on account that they have been six, you're able to desire to be elementary. you have found out what you pick for to do in an outstanding way, you are the right age now to be certain to this course as you are the right age to be certain what you pick for to do for the the remainder of your life. enhance on the placement you have been in, why precisely do you pick for to communicate in it and what have been you doing on the time. you're in an fairly string place. while you're fairly caught, write approximately what you will possibly choose for to do after the course (e.g. replace right into a instructor) and how doing the course will enable you to out.

The website below seems very useful, so try using that. By the way, you'd probably get no where by copying someone elses, thats why its a personal statement. good luck!

I find that you need to structure it. I know as i've just done my own personal statement for university. Firstly write about the subject you want to do eg. why you want to do it and have u researched it etc.
Then write about what you study now and how that applies to what you want to study.
Write about any extracurricular things you do and then finish with a strong conclusion.

A personal statement is something that tells someone who you are, what you are good at, what experience you have in that field, how long you've been doing the thing you're good at & why you might be good at it while you're at college. (You haven't ever written something like THAT before?).

If you can't even come up with your own PERSONAL statement, or at least research it, then maybe you aren't bright enough to be going to college.
Good luck, kid.
