It is illegal to carry a survival knife, or any other type of knife on you? Is that considered a concealed weapon?

knife laws are different in every state.

it's illegal almost EVERYWHERE to carry a fixed-blade knife more than a few inches long. a fixed blade that's double-edged is also illegal.

your best bet is to look up knife laws in your area.

All the states have different laws on the carrying of a knife. Survial knifes are usually in a belt sheath so they are not concealed. Most states have the (If the blade of the folding knife isn't longer than the palm of your hand) 3" law. You have to check your state and if you are in Mass. your screwed!

If you were found to be carrying such a knife in your local shopping mall, yes you could be done for carrying an offensive weapon. In the woods hundreds of miles from anywhere, even if you did run into a copper the context would probably make your knife no big deal.

In Missouri the law is any blade over 6 in(appr. peter sized) is illegal if carried concealed.

It depends what your state laws are. I am pretty sure in fl the blade on a folding knife has to be>3inches.

I always carry my pocket knife on me and when at work i have a flick knife in my poket just incase....

It can not have a blade longer than 4", that goes for any state in the U.S., to my understanding.
