are there any blue moments?

Slavery, no. Lots of duties, yes. I don't view it a slavery because I can say "no". Slaves didn't have that option.

And there are lots of blue moments. But, there are just as many good moments.

It's definitely not slavery, but of course there are moments when things don't go well. But that is one of the reasons we got married, to love and support each other no matter what, and after 17 years, we have always been able to work things through.

I love being single. I spend less time cleaning, doing laundry, cooking and I sure don't miss the kitchen sink. Being married to an old school type of guy is slavery plain and simple, but then women and children have been treated like slaves for thousands of years and men are reluctant to change. After all if you have a few slaves catering to your every need why would you ever want to provide for yourself.

Men are like children, except children want to grow up.

Slavery? No,However marriage is constant work especially for a woman. We have so many things to take care of and have very little time for ourselves. Everyone depends on us and we have to depend on God. I love my job as a wife and mother although it gets hard sometimes. However, my husband does take up my slack once he sees that I am overwhelmed and need a break. He then demands that I relax and allow him and the kids to take care of things. I LOVE IT!!!

I don't ever feel like a hostage or anything...for the most part my husband is my best friend in the world, but sometimes I feel like I can't breathe and wish I could take a break...like I lost "me" somewhere. But it always passes.
I have figured out that when you're married, you're not going to always be "in love", you will fall out of it sometimes. But you tough it out and come back stronger. I think people are too quick to bolt when things don't feel so great or do something stupid like cheat.

Yes I did feel that a lot, because I was married to a very controlling person, and never had the courage to stand up to him. And then one day I thought that this is never going to change. So I did, and I walked away with one suitcase in my hand and have never looked back.

If I feel blue it has nothing to do with my marriage. After 2 years I still feel plenty lucky.

There are blue moments in any relationship but you should never feel like a slave. If the relationship is that one-sided you might want to rethink it!

I think almost any wife feels like a slave!Especially after children a man could not possibly understand why we feel this way!I think after years of waiting on your husband hand and foot will make you blue!
