Japan.
- They are an economic giant in the world, albeit the cost of lving there is high.
- They produce the technologies that the world relies on.
- The climate is absolutely beautiful (never mind the occasional earthquake/tsunami).
- The enviroment is cared for there and many cars there are already enviromentally friendly.
- Crime in Japan basically is so minute. Crime isn't a huge problem like in a lot of countries.
- The culture was a diverse and deep one to begin with. Their complex language just shows how intelligent one has to be to master it.
- The lifespan in Japan is the highest in the world, mostly due to the high consumption of natural foods and a general disapproval of junk food there.
- Religion isn't a massive thing there. The religions there are more about respecting nature, one another and not all focus is on a god. However they also mix features from other religions (EG: christmas is celebrated there by some as is Western-style marriage although this is by choice and many still have traditional marriages). When do we ever hear about religious fights in Japan?
- Tradition is still kept as is pride and honour for oneself.
- The political system is mostly liberal (but not like Western liberalism, a good type)

Nobody's said it yet so I guess it is up to me. The USA. That's it. I've said it. I've been to other countries and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. France and Germany's economies are in the crapper, Sweden takes too much of her people's money. England can't seem to keep a lid on crime. Now, I'm not saying the US doesn't have problems, because we do. But this country is much more economically vibrant, our healthcare is unrivaled, our culture could use a little work, and our political system, while flawed, is pretty stable. It we are so bad, how come we have such a problem with too many people wanting to come here?

Canada is the friendliest, Finland has the least aggresive people in Europe (apparently), France has the most sensible government (if you work for a living), Sweden looks pretty and is all eco-friendly, Britain has a good NHS, America sticks up for it's own, Japan has a good schooling system...
I think I'd like to go to Sweden, or somewhere in that area.
Bear in mind of course that I've never been to half these countries, I'm just going by newspaper reports and polls and hear-say.

having been to a few countries in my life the one i loved the most was denmark. although quite expensive and very flat, the people made me feel welcome with no attitude at all, although it might not be as economically equipped as england and the usa, i solely make my judgement on the way i was treated, england and america might be the lands of the free, but what exactly is it that is free ??? free to carry guns? free to mistreat just about anyone or anything you desire or free to rip everyone off with more hidden taxes that just about the rest of the world put together.

United States. I judge it by comfort level, I cant attribute it to any other factor than that. The U.S.A. might have faults, but so does every other government in the world. If you work hard you can make a very good life for yourself, not every other country in the world can make that statement.

The best country is a true free country that accepts and respect all its residents no matter beliefs, culture and background. Unfortunately it does not exist - one can only dream!
