More government intervention and control - funded by higher taxes. Essentially - modern American liberalism is socialism. Here are definitions of liberalism from wikipedia.

However, modern advocates of classical liberalism do advocate a heavier taxation on the corporation, as opposed to the current trend of the burden of income tax resting on the shoulders of the individual worker, as did the early classical liberals.
Modern American liberalism is a form of liberalism that began in America in the last years of the 19th century and the early years of the 20th century. Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. described it by saying, "there emerged the conception of a social welfare state, in which the national government had the express obligation to maintain high levels of employment in the economy, to supervise standards of life and labor, to regulate the methods of business competition, and to establish comprehensive patterns of social security."

In the past it accomplish womens' suffrage, slavery ended, segregation was finished, and it was a liberal that save the world from Hitler. We'll just have to see what it can accomplish now. Democrats and Republicans can be cons or libs regarless of party affiliation.

Liberalism will become the downfall of the country, if people aren't careful. The more people realize they can grant themselves money from the national treasury, through voting for liberals, the more people will be inclined to depend on government. And that leads to socialism and eventually a dictator and at that point, the US will cease to exist.

Yeah, cause the right know all the answers, right? Amazing how you "hate" Nazis, yet are so quick to shoot out the same fascist, anti-Socialist agenda as them. No Socialist, and definitely no extremist, but a diversity of political choice is what separates us from most other countries. Don't like freedom of speech, leave.
