Simple question is Call of Duty 3 inappropriate for my 13 year old son who will certainly be playing while his 10 year old brother is around? Are these military video games harmful or is anything in modesty ok?

I believe Call of Duty is awesome there isn't any blood or anything, he will probably end up playing it one way or another if he really wants it either at a friends house or at home. Video games get a bad rap but you know hes not doing drugs or getting into trouble if hes just playing a game. Video games and movies don't make people crazy they just give the crazys better ideas

I strongly suggest that you let your 13 year old son play the game. It is violent, but it will not encourage your son to reinact anything he played in a game. Everyone knows the difference between virtual reality and reality, just some use it as an excuse. I only suggest that your son stay away from Grand Theft Auto and such for the time being. The Call of Duty series also doesn't have much "if any" profanity or vulgar language, and is one of the least violent, military games out there.

Agreeing with most of the other answers call of duty is a great game and the language and blood aren't as bad as some games(Quake 4 for example) and in my opinion as long as he and his brother know it's just a game great they can have fun. I knowi played Doom 2 at 5 it never hurt me it was just a game that I played with my Dad. Thats the KEY right there play the game with them make it a fun activity if your not sure about any game play it yourself and decide if you want your kids playing it. So to rap it up it's down to you putting some effort intofinding out (by trying the game yourself) if it's O.K.

I think that the 13 year old should be alowed to play it but not around the 10 year old. The game i think has nothing to do with people going crazy and killing people. People have the desition of there own to do that and the video games do not provoke it. Meaning that people say that the video games are a bad influence in kids live isn't true to me. They should take a nation wide servay and do some experiments. To prove that video games are an influence!!

Id suggest get it for him. Call of duty games are pretty real to life. It might even be educational.

With allot of games you can trun down the level of blood and gore but it still is killing. Tbh what 13 year old hasnt seen bloodshed on tv or in games ?

I own COD 2 , and I will own Cod 3 also.

There is no gore or torture in this game...

You will just carry many different types of guns around and shoot Nazis.

When you shoot the nazis there is just one poof of blood that you will see.

I would say this is an OK game to play in front of a 10 year old.

well it is rated t so there will be no blood on the ground after someone gets shot, but there is some swearing but nothing big just here and there, plus it's history and that is important!

well that depends on you me i'd buy it for my kids i mean its a pretty graphic game (i do not see a non-graphic/violent war game possible) but all in all as long as your kids know whats real and whats not and if its played in moderation i see no problem you can also look here to help decide
