They were never "in love". People on Seinfeld don't fall in love. Jerry and Elaine are both too shallow to really be in love.

I always thought they would get back together. Remember in one of the final episodes when their plane was going down? Elaine and Jerry were going to say that they loved each other, but the pilots averted disaster and they never ended up saying it.

I love that show.
I do think they had feelings at first, but Seinfeld doesn't get attatched. They were able to have sex after, if you remember those episodes, it was great, but eventually they realized they couldn't do it without being a couple. I think they have good feelings, but he thinks she is a little nutty- which she is, and everyone else on that wonderful show!

They did get together on one episode. They had been boyfriend and girlfriend and had broken up years before and for some reason they decided to have sex again. The episode ends with them figuring they're better off keeping it as a friendship.

no. he realized that she was someone he could get along with but as they got intimate he noticed how hairy she was. that episode never aired. it was hilarious though.
