Federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research to cure disease, a higher minimum wage, a cut in the interest rate for college loans, a rollback of the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, limitations on gifts from lobbyists, a more safely equipped military and better benefits for veterans.

Okay I will attempt to stay logical and straight forward.

Melisa Hart is running for re-election against a democrat ,Jason Altmire . The reason I choose her ( I don't have a clue other than ads both candidates ran)

Altmire's first spot characterizes Hart as a steadfast ally of President Bush and U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum and claims Hart voted to cut funding on veterans benefits and student loans.

She fired back this week with a TV spot claiming Jason Altmire is running "a negative campaign, full of lies instead of ideas. The same Jason Altmire who as a Washington lobbyist was never shy about asking her for help."

Melissa Hart is not in my district and I have no idea on her political agenda or her opponent's stand on any issue. He (seems) is of the opinion that saying she has voted with President Bush on most issue will win him the election

Another example is the ad currently being ran by Governor Rendell that if re-elected he will lower property taxes- problem being it is the same promise he made 4 years ago to get elected.

What I can figure out is the democratic platform in PA is rhetoric, promises and we don't associate with Bush.

that's basically it: anti Bush and Bush team agenda. in this way bush is made into a lame duck president for the entire 2 years he has left.

in and of itself this is a good thing. on the other hand, not really having a cohesive, well thought out plan, other than taking congress away from a republican majority, is nothing to be proud of. this is why i basically despise all politicians

Besides what you say, nothing. They won't stand for anything, they'll stay on the sidelines until they absolutely need to take a stand.
