We are on the verge of it now, living in the "last days." There are to many bible prophesies that were fulfilled. One example in the bible is where "Columns of Smoke" was mentioned which refers to the Sept. 11 incident with the twin towers. The bible also mentions "Jihad" - holy war and that being part of the last days of this system of things. Then there is war, lovers of money, worshipers of statues, famine, so much hate that it is necessary for this earth to be cleaned up.
Yes, Armageddon is upon us. If you can really interpret the bible you will find evidence that it can happen any day now. No one knows the time or day - only God does. Jesus and the Angels don't even know but they wait for God's instructions. God will then hold Satan and his demons at bay while Jesus takes down the governments and many who worship Satan. It will be a very joyous time for God's true people.

Armageddon by your definition doesn't mean the end of human kind, but destruction of earth, well, we are garanteed this measily planet will last less than a couple billion years before either it gets melted/torn from it's rotation around the sun by large spacial anomily, or by our own sun's alterations, or probably much earlier, by mankinds fondness for pushing natures limits.
I personally would like to see it in this lifetime, but only if I can afford to get off this rock before it happens...

Armageddon, from what I get from scriptures, happens at the end of time. When time becomes mearly a consept, whcih can be altered just as easily as any other imaginings. No life will remain in limbo or in this minimal existance we live..
Hints to when, it always says - After this happens..
such as.. when that blue haired blonde eyed girl flirts with my baby toe, after that will come armegeddon..

Well our natural resources are projected to be gone between 2045 and 2050. Maybe that will jump start armageddon in less than 50 years. Maybe not. Either way, we dont look to be in too good of shape

Well it's prophesied in the Bible. Yes, I'm a believer and have faith that God will deliver us. It's not the end of the world! Look up Psalms 37:6, 10 and 11.

The asteroid would have to be pretty freaking big though!! It would have to break though earth's atmosherepe at about 5000mph. But a bomb wouldn't do the trick because all of the debris!! we would still get bad impact. Bruce Willis won't be able to save us then.Actually it might happen. But not until about 2 billion years. Hopefully we will a be dead by then.

I personally feel that it's about major changes in the way our worlds governments are run. Resistance is futile? What is your idea of a Utopian society? This I would imagine is the war to end all wars.
Armageddon refers generally to end times or giant, apocalyptic catastrophes in various religions and cultures. It may also refer to any great loss of life in battle or use of weapons of mass destruction.
This would be the end of things as you know them.

Read the news papers, you dont have to be an avid bible reader to believe in that
It will be because of one or all of the following
1) bully like behaviour of American govt and its allies
2) roque nuclear countries
3) hatefull and violent ways of terrorist organisations
4) burgeoning world population giving out CO2
5) destruction of forests
6) not caring for mother earth by belching out millions of pollutants responsible for ozone depletion
