hmmm sounds perfect... almost...

you didnt mention anything about your motherboard

chipsets of motherboard are important too...
the heat capacity? try the nvidia chipsets for your motherboard.

is it SLI ready? for additional power!

how bout the power supply? how much can it handle?

use liquid coolersystem for your cpu for overheat protection
cooler system for your harddrive and RAM

lastly, take a picture of your machine and hang it on the wall...

to see how PERFECT IT IS!

So far, I would say you are on the right track. If you want the best video quality, go with a 512MB card. ATI Radeon X1800 XL and XT are both very good 512MB cards. Also, for faster loading for games, you might want to up your hard drive to a 10,000 RPM. Seagate hard drives are very good and they make different size 10,000 RPM hard drives. If you're planning on having a ton of games, music and programs, I'd suggest dual hard drives. Everything else sounds great.
Well, it sounds like you have put a lot of thought in to this and I hope you get to make the perfect computer. Good Luck!

That is an incredible computer...

...In fact, depending on which games you are playing, it will probably be way more than you need; however, if you can afford the computer you described above, it would be better getting it and risking overkill than to buy a lesser computer and risk having to buy a replacement too soon.

Since you are using it for music and gaming I would reccomend you get a soundblaster audio card since it would not add much to the price and would add a lot to both. I would also get the 7.1 speakers for it.
