I have heard a few people say things like this, if I know them well, I will speak up and say that it is wrong, if I don't know them they get the "ugly look" letting them know their language is unacceptable.
years ago my son came home from school one day and his new word was "gay" as in oh that is so gay. I had a long talk with him, and I have never heard that word from him in such a context again.

I'll never use the "N" word or any racial slur, but I do use the word "f@g" and other terms. I know this isn't right, and I have struggled *horribly*, for years with my temper and being able to control my language.

Due to sexual exploitation by other men when I was younger,
I've never really been able to prevent my feelings of hostility
towards homosexuals. True, I don't agree with what they do,
but I recognize that my feelings and reactions are *my* problem,
and not *theirs*. They shouldn't suffer for it, so it's yet more struggle for me to try to change what I often feel is unchangeable
in me.

I don't love myself as a person, because I don't see very much
worth loving,.. and I suspect this is true of many, if not most, of
the "haters" out there - if only they had the guts to be honest
with themselves.

Then the world could be a much more pleasant place to live in.

N!gger and F^g are used in diferent ways, by different people, and sometimes it's derogitory, and others it's in jest. It's more context.. you dont need those words to make someone feel bad..

I find it's becoming more taboo..

as with anything else people do that is inappropriate it comes from tolerance and being taught that at home. As long as parents do and say these things in front of thier children that's what the children will grow up to do. Also if the people they do it in front of don't say wnything when they find that unaccpetable it will continue to grow.

Oh yeah, hear it all the time, and like you I say something. The funny part for me is, I'm just shy of 6', 220 LBS solid, Biker, and when I pipe up and tell them I don't like their sh*t and I'm gay, suddenly they just seem to skulk away. I LOVE the look on their faces when they hear I'm gay, all of sudden it's "dude, we're only kidding" or " come on man can't ya take a joke"...typical boorish, homophobic, racist claptrap.

Turn on the t.v. like HBO or CINAMAX, and you can hear these dirty words back to back thru out the whole movie you may be watching. And besides, I dont associate myself with people who use dirty language.
