Are you looking for performers of classical music? If so, check out Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, Schubert, Vivaldi, Handel, Chopin, Mozart, and Tchiakovsky (not sure on spelling). There are also many today that perform their works well including Lucianno Pavarotti, Aaron Neville, and many others I cant think of.

One of the most beautiful songs that I can listen to over and over again is the Navy Hymn (Eternal Father, Strong to Save) with the best performance (not surprisingly) by the US Marine Corps.

Classical music, like other kinds of music, can be very diverse. Some pieces are quite relaxing, while some can be abrasive. Think of classical as being divided into four time periods. The baroque, which is following the renaissance up to the mid eighteenth century; the classical period, which is from about 1750 to 1780; the romantic, which would be from about 1780 to about 1900; and the modern, which is most of the 20th century. It has been in a continuous state of change and evolution. Listen to different composers to find out what kind you prefer. I like the impressionists: Debussy, Ravel, De Falla, and Dohnanyi, but much of that music is definitely not relaxing. Some of it is though. When you get bored with relaxing music, the abrasive type is a good change of pace.

Celtic Chillout is nice - Enya...or just ordinary chillout. Chicane, Joby Talbot, especially.
My favourite one by Joby is "A Yellow Disc Rising from the Sea".
Rodrigo - Flamenco Guitar type music
If you're in the UK, on the radio you may be able to catch Classic FM or on Sky TV, now it's available.
Mortal Flesh - Christian Forshaw.
And Ludovico Einaudi, and Aled Jones are some more favourites of mine.
