There's some foods I have to eat all separately.
I've noticed that 10 times out of 10, when I eat a burger and fries, I always eat the fries first, then I eat the burger. Every single time!
Then there's other stuff that I just mix it all together.
Guess I'm strange, huh? lol

With some meals I'll do that. Usually with ones I'm not too keen about eating. I just want to get that taste over with and move on.
I don't like mixing my food into one big pile but appreciate being able to add a little rice with the meat on one bite but not the next. So you have OCD and I'm a control freak. ;)

OCD probably not. I eat things seperately, and really don't even like when they touch, but if you were OCD you would be extreme. I consider myself more ARD. Chairs need to be pushed in, I always use the exit door and would park on the street before taking the last parking spot, the handicapped spot. I can live without, but I prefer it the right way.

On Dragon's plate foods can't touch. She is very picky about this. No touching. She doesn't always eat every item separately and finish it before moving on, but mostly she does.
No mixing!

Who cares what other people think about you? I eat that way, too, because I like to enjoy each item at a time. I don't like mixing flavors.

I don't really like my foods touching on the plate, but I'll mix my bites between the different foods. I like a variety during the course of the meal.
