Me! I definitely plan to vote Republican and have never done a poll.

Of course there are. Polls are samples of people. If you "sampled" everyone, then it would an election.

And in actuality, Democrats are more likely to be under-polled than Republicans are. 1 ) The poor are less likely to have phones (required to be polled) and the poor generally vote Democrat. 2 ) Democrats, in general, adopt technology sooner than Republicans and are more likely to have eliminated their landlines (also required for polling).

It doesn't add up to much of a difference, but the article I read (this was in '04 - so I couldn't find it), said it can vary from a fraction of a percent to, in some major urban centers, 5 or 6%. In Indianapolis, Julia Carson has won year in and year out, but the polls always show the race closer. Why? Because she has a very devout following among the city's African-American poor, and they don't get polled.

Nobody ever comes up into the county where I live to ask our opinions. They're too busy being wowed by all the folks in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, and Prince Georges County -- which, due to their dense population of liberal Democrats, really control the elections here in the "People's Republic of Maryland".

I would certainly think so. I am a liberal who usually votes Democrat and I haven't done any polls.

i think (as proven in the past) that polls are just a bunch of hogwash. they are like the sunday morning nfl shows that can explain with a great degree of logic and reason why team x will beat team y. and that's why they say "that's why they play the game".

You have to be kidding...I have never done any polls nor have I ever been invited to any polls. That's why I don't believe a word the media spins out.
