Ever since I've gotten my new desk from my brother's girlfriend from her workplace, almost a year ago, the bottom left drawer won't close it. It's not full with stuff. It pops open every once in awhile, and doesn't fully close it. Any idea how to close it?

Yes I did check to see if anything's jammed in the drawer. Nope. It does it on its own.

The desk is wooden. So is the drawers. I think it might have to do with the weight distrubition. How to make it work? Does it help?

It sounds like you have a humidity problem with your drawer. Humidity affects many different kinds of wood in furniture. I would propose the following: 1) Take the drawer out of the unit and visually inspect it to see if it is sealed with a wood sealer 2) While inspecting the drawer, check to see if any joints are mis-aligned or coming apart 3) If everything looks OK with the drawer, then turn it upside down and inspect the drawer slide (should be in the middle of the drawer bottom--underneath) for misalignment or loose connections---many times the manufacturer uses a staple process in attaching the slides and they come loose easily 4) If everything is Ok, buy a can of wood sealer and a 2" paint brush and seal the outside of the drawer---normally the inside would not cause a problem whether sealed or not 5) If this doesn't work, call a friend or repairman for potential problems with the piece of furniture---or sell it and buy a new one---Hope this helps--Blessings

You haven't provided enough information here. Do the drawers have ball bearing slides? Is it a steel desk or a wood desk or maybe a laminate of some type? What are the drawers made from - steel, particle board, wood, or some other material? A ball bearing slide can be binding - it may need lubrication or it may have a bent place that is just in the wrong place. Give a little more detail, and we can help.

I pretty much agree with the above and you can also measure the drawer when it's upside down to see if the center width is the same as the 2 ends. If not, just tap it in place so the drawer bottom is back in the groove. sometimes they can be forced out during moving or any number of other things. If it is that and you have a hot melt gun, place a bead of hot melt along the bottom and drawer side to hold it in place. Use candle wax or any wax along the track to help it slide smoothly.

Did you check to see if there is anything that could be jammed between the draw, and the desk itself?
