A woman I just met told me she's being treated for a ruptured ovary, which she got from having sex, and doing it too hard. I responded with, "What were you having sex with, a horse?"

I've never heard of such a thing, and it doesn't sound plausible. Can anyone tell me otherwise?

Also, she has been seriously flirting with me, and the attraction is mutual, but I don't like the idea of becoming involved with a pathological liar. I just don't want to give up on her too quickly, because I'm not certain that's what I'm dealing with here.

You can have ovarian cysts that rupture... and that can happen during sex, although the problem preceded the sexing, and the thing was probably going to rupture anyway. This hurts a lot and often requires medical attention.

"Ruptured ovary" is not a correct term for this, but I have heard it used several times, including by people who should know better.
