Oh wow....she is so wrong dear. Women show differently at different months. Take me and my sister. I was a petite 21 year old. I didn't find out I was pregnant till I was 6 weeks along. I went in cause my stomach was getting bigger. I ended up gaining 147lbs and was huge. By the time I was 5 months I looked like I was ready to give birth anytime. Now my sister was about the same size and she only gained 38 lbs. She hardly got big at all. If she wore a baggy sweater you couldn't even tell. My son was 10lbs 3 ozs and her daughter was 7lbs 6 ozs. Both very healthy babies. We both eat the same way and everything. It just depends on your body. Women are all different. If your showing now its just fine.

It all depends -- every woman is different. In the early stages of pregnancy, it could be water retention or bloat. I was showing at around 18 weeks

I was showing at 14 weeks with my first, and somewhere around 16-18 with my other 2. Doc said its perfectly normal, you can ask your doc if they're worried about your measurements, that will tell more than anything along with the normal sonagram you should be doing any day now. But don't fret, just enjoy the wonderful life.

I would say most woman at 7-8months look like they are ready to pop. Some women show early and others like me didn't show until 6 months along. You may be reataining some water. Talk to your OB and she will tell you what is normal and what isn't. Your OB is the person to listen too and not this friend that told you that. She is given you false info.

Oh goodness. All women are different and carry differently. Your baby might be all out front which is why you're showing. Most first time mom's don't show until 4 or 5 months, and you're right around that time. I wouldn't be worried about it. If it bothers you that much mention it to your dr at your next appt. But seriously, unless you look like you're 8 months pg, at this point I wouldn't worry...and CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR BABY!!!!

Everyone is different. Some show early and some show late. There isn't anything set in stone when one will start to show. And like showing people gain weight differently too.
My sister-in-law's friend gained 60 pounds the last three months!!!

Every woman is different, every child is different. Your body just shows sooner then your friends did. Nothing wrong with that. You will probly have a big healthy baby. Congradulations and Goodluck. The first time around is always the best !!!!

Your friend is crazy. It depends on your build and how big the baby is whether or not you will show. Most women start showing around 4 or 5 months...some sooner, some later.

Your friend is wrong. With my first one I started showing at about 16-18 weeks and even sooner than that with my other two. You have nothing to worry about. It sounds to me like things are progressing just like they should! Good luck!
