depends on how long you want to save. If you can wait about 6 months, I would go with the PS3. It is far superior (hardware wise) to the other two but give Sony enough time learn to manufacture them. The launch shipment are almost guaranteed to be full of defects (remember the PSP launch, or the PS2 launch in 2000)
you are nuts if spend 600 bucks on a PS3 at launch.
If you are older, enjoy more mature rated games, and cant wait for the PS3 to work out the bugs, then go with the Xbox 360.
otherwise go with the Wii.

Go for Nintendo Wii as it makes you feel like your in the game more than other consoles. Its aimed at all ages from 5 all the way to 80 (older and younger could play) but itsnt for toddlers and isnt childish. Its the cheapest but that dosent mean the crappiest it will have hundreds of games from day 1 from gamecube games and the virtual console. Also with 20+ luanch games you cant go wrong. Great console for great people and dont wait for 6 months for a ps3 cause other wise you'll have missed out on all the fun!
And who wants to pay $600 for a games console unless your a right snobby showoff!

It has to be a playstation 3 - you now they'll be making better games for that longer than the others plus you can still play all your old ps games on it - I wish I could afford one :-(

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE GAMES YOU PLAY.THE NINTENDO WII IS GOING TOWARD THE OLD SCHOOL GAMES AND STUFF FOR A YOUNGER GROUP.THE XBOX IS WELL...WE'LL LEAVE THAT ONE ALONE.(CATCHES ON FIRE.NOT BACKWARDS COMPATABLE).AND THEN THERES THE PS3.GAUREENTEED TO BE 100% BACKWARDS COMPATABLE.PLUS GTA 4 AND MERCENARIES 2 LOOKS DOPE.
