and why was there edits in the video of the execution?

Yes he was. In May 2004 he was abducted and later beheaded by Islamic militants. The CIA actually claimed that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi personally beheaded him.

I am not sure exactly why parts were edited but my opinion is that the British and American IT workers edited the video before it was due to be broadcasted. Why I am not sure.

Posthumously means after death.

So yes, he was beheaded, but no, he was not beheaded after death.

Why would you like to watch the beheading of anyone and then in its entirety?

I seriously doubt that his captors were humane enough to remove his head AFTER killing him some other way. As to the edited videos, maybe it was a concession to Western sensibilities--after all, we don't have public executions anymore.

ive seen this sick bit of footage on kazaa or limewire....none was edited...it turned my guts and head over.......apparantly,it was that al~zakawi guy who did it. hes the one who violently pulled out the knife and did the sick twisted beheading. what goes round comes around.....zakawi got what he deserved.....death
