I have been in a couple discussions about stem cell research and abortion, and I have noticed that many people who have responded are very ignorant. I know there two things you never talk about with people: Politics and Religion. But why attack those people who speak of this with ignorant responses? One thing I cannot tolerate is stupid people. And this world is filled with them. Abortion is wrong through and through, whether or not it can help people. Todays society is trying to play God. It is quite sickening. Is everyone as naive as they seem? Or are they just ignorant?

Some are ignorant, others stubborn. I dont believe abortion is right, but i also dont think that i am the one who should be making the decision. But i do think its quite clear that "a woman has the right to choose what happens to her body" is not a valid argument, because, its not whats going to happen to her body that concerns her, its what is going to happen to her life that she is worried about.

I think ignorance is having an opinion based on misinformation or no information. Stubborness is refusal to weigh information that is not helping your opinion. Being naive is blind trust. You can be one of these, or even all three. True ignorance is believing you are always right.

people will believe whatever they hear on the radio or televison because they dont take the time to check the facts and find out the truth for themselves. You will never hear that fetal stem cell research had provided NOTHING in way of cures for diseases, but adult stem cell reasearch has provided 72. The democrats want to allow federal funding for fetal stem cell research as a cover for abotion. Without abortion there would be no fetal stem cell research. But they wont tell you that fetal stem cell research has done nothing because they want abortion to continue. But you will never hear this in the mainstream media, so therefore no one will know.

I agree that abortion is murder but your question here is so vague that I don't really know how to respond. Yes people are ignorant. There are different types of stem cell research too. Sometimes it's just a difference of opinion. Some see it as murder and others don't

You are making the assumption that if people don't believe as you do, then they are ignorant. This in itself shows that you are the truly ignorant one.

If you don't support abortion or stem cell research, that is your right. It is my right to feeling differently. This goes back to "minding ones business" . If everyone would just worry about what they were doing and not worry about what your neighbors are doing, we would be a much better society.

many people would see your views as ignorant. there is a difference between disagreeing and being uninformed.. just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they don't know all of the information on the subject. i agree with you that i can not stand ignorance.. but you seem to have more of an issue with people who don't agree with you... to me having an open mind and thinking about all facets of something before you make your decision is the key.

Our society has become so ignorant because it voted Bush TWICE into office! Hopefully Hillary will change this in 2008.
