It depends on the condition of the penny. Good: maybe 0.15 to 0.20. Good in coin parlance means well worn but everything still there. Uncirculated 8.00 to 20.00. If it has a mint mark d or s, it is worth slightly more

I just turned in a whole bunch of coins and the value on them was mostly determined by the price of metal on that day. Unless you have an absolute rare minting of a coin, the coins are usually worth the copper or silver they contain.
