1. runesape should run on a mac(as its internet based and safari[apple browser] supports java, flash, and all techs that IE supports[but check on active X].
2. you dont need a powerful machine like a macbook pro, consider a macbook or even a windows laptop [ limiting the amazing power of apple shoud not be spent on runescape, a mac is great for everything.
3. you NEED a 3G wireless connectivity card[check if a laptop has an expansion card before you buy the 3G card]
4.thats all

gah runescape???
firstly i wudnt bother with runescape, i dont think it will work as a hybrid program its a microsoft isnt it?
and then there is the costs involved with sattlite connections, VV expensive and quite frankly not worth it, cos u have a quota, once u reach that u cant do anything but sit there and look at it
plus to the fact that the "no viruses" thing on mac is no recorded viruses(in other words there may of been viruses on mac but no one said/did anything about it other than brush it under the carpet, the whole tarnished reputation thing. the fact is that viruses target all operating systems regardless of programming mac is just that little bit harder for the virus to hit due to the paranoid firewall), i dont like the way mac deals with system resorces personally ither, makes the response rate slow

I doubt it..
However, I suggest you to encourage him to play around and curious about Mac Book Pro if you ever get one. If you familiar with Windows, you would feel awkward for a start but soon you will feel the difference.
For a start go the Apple show room and check it out. It is quite pricy as compared to Sony or Dell but the most impressive brand name which is suitable for visual presentations and audio capabilities.
You could encourage him how to be savvy in designing and using his creativity with Mac. It offers 1000 of wonders for developing and creating arts cards, pictures, posters and the program like Garage Band is good to develop interest in music too. Get the iLife and Mac Os X manuals/books to enhance experience I suggest. Finally, Mac is a virus free, too!
He would love it!

in my opinion, i might attempt and save for the Jeep, or another style of vehicle which may be greater low-value. you have already got a working laptop or pc, so there is not any longer probable a might desire to purchase a sparkling one. additionally, in case you pick for the Jeep, ensure there are no "considerable" problems with it, if any in any respect considering that ought to be yet another year's properly worth of saving. the two way, good luck, Joe

Wether he can play a game on it or not is the last of your worries, i'd be more worried about how quickly it will break - which will be sooner than you think.
