many people (mostly young men and teens) are addicted to video games. this affects their school work, jobs, relationships and health. how can we treat this major problem?

I think if you got an addictiong then just live with it. Or you can try to stop playing or limit your self to a setian number of hour or day a week you can play on the game.

i think if is up to the parents to stop there child playing games so much. but most of them are not bothered. i china you are only allowed to play mmorpg for 5 hours at a time. see: http://playstation.about.com/b/a/212853.htm

Turn off the electricity in the home where the gamers are.

Simple people without motivation, to go outside their comfort zone, who enjoy playing with themselves alone, shouldn't worry.

I don't think you can really, you can give chors so that they don have time to play but if you're a teacher, talk to the school councellor about it, see if she can do anything about it.
