i dont think its anything do to with the timing belt
could be a number of things battery,immobiliser
ignition switch.
is the car turning over or just not starting at all?

If you drove it, and it didn't seem sluggish, It MOST LIKELY isn't related to the belt repair.
When you say doesn't start, does it not crank over either, or will it crank over, but just not "light up"?
Make a huge difference what you address.
If it won't crank over, check and secure the battery terminals.
If it cranks, look to the fuel system (is there fuel pressure), and make sure that the air intake tube from the air filter to the engine is in place and secure. Check for spark at a spark plug wire. If there is no spark, check out the ignition connections at the distributor & igniter.

The belt may have slipped or been a bad belt
You might also consider checkin out your distributor.
