Many!

Briefly.... one huge market without physical barriers (customs posts) or regulatory ones to free trade in goods and many services between countries..... allows for maximum competitiveness and economies of scale. Companies can do business in several countries from an office in one of them.

One labour market too. Companies can hire citizens of any EU country as workers in any other EU country (apart from some transitional restrictions by some old EU countries against recent EU members).

The EU has led to the Euro zone which is great for business -- one currency to keep accounts in for all euro countries and to charge prices in. And to the Schengen, the passport union that allows people to cross borders without limits. Each covers only part of the EU but both are helpful for smooth running of business without holdups and obstacles.
