The same reason people do that for Ireland on St Patricks day or anywhere else they came from they want to be a part of a proud history and culture not just what they are and I like being scottish and having a unique culture and society from the rest of the UK, Europe and the world. Even if I do think the Bagpipes are bit loud for indoors on Robert Burns birthday every year (January 25)

If you mean the Scots as the Scottish people then I'd say there the gods own people only in cumbered by low class neighbours.

How very strange that this question is allowed in the Royalty section. Have you never heard not to cast pearl amongst swine.
I have lived in scotland and I know that the scots really do hate the English no matter how two faced they are to one's face. All I can say is that you are a dreary dour miserable people who eat the worst rubbish for food, drink and smoke too much. Scotland is known as the most toothless nation in Europe, and no, it has nothing to do with the pathetic so called parliament , its because most of the scots have no teeth due to their constant craving for sweet sugary food. They also enjoy(for lack of a better word)the highest heart attack rate in Great Britain. Prizes on offer if anyone can think why?

I am a Scot and I think we're cool :) We invented haggis and make the best whisky. Everyone loves our accents and don't listen to that loser with the cowboy hat picture. He's just a racist git.

PS Tartan is hot on the catwalks right now!

Based on movies i've seen, portrayals of scots are that they're tough and blunt-spoken and have a deep sense of honour. Please note that this does not necessarily apply to Trainspotting! Also, nice accent.

Do you mean the Scots, as in the Scottish? I personally think of them as very noble and honourable people (at least the Highlanders are).

But im biased (Mixed Scottish Heritage)

From where do you hail?

I like anyone who is anti-monarchy. The Scots realise what a farce the monarchy is, and what a disgrace to have one in a modern age when we are all meant to be equal.
