I think dialogue is always helpful. If you know how a particular group feels or experiences life, then you are better able to be in their shoes and emphathize. Also, I think more discussion has to occur within races. All races seem to perpetuate racisim in some extent. It should be a priority for families/parents, communities, etc. to discuss race, and the fact it shouldn't matter what race you are you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to.

No.....because alot doesn't have anything to do with race. It's become a conveniet excuse to hide under in order to not take responsibility for your own life, actions, and economical standing. It's easier to play the race card than to find where the real issue is.

If the Americans consider and respect all those who were born on the soil of America are "Americans" and those who are by legal migration are also Americans trrespective of cast, creed and race, this is very simple. All what is needed is the honest practice of the humanity. One should realise that any citizen who lives in America loves his motherland and that is why he lives in America.

The only people who are interested in racism are Confirmed Racists. It is the Racists that claim discrimination while they discriminate. It is an offense they use to excuse their racist ideas. i have lived all of my life with no interest in racism, so I don't have to even think about it.
If I were a racist, I would want to talk about it all the time.

Talking is preferable to violence, but talking needs to be followed up with real actions. This involves both sides taking action. All the laws and preferential treatment in the world will not educate or bring wealth to people who do not get up and take advantage of the opportunities.

in my opinion race issues must be discussed but only among educated people because if it was among ignorants it will be like you said "putting salt on open wounds"

The best thing we can do is to forget race. We should focus on individual merits, regardless of skin color. I do.

No. People talk too much and do to little. They don't really want to change the world, they just want to be heard.
