It is true. The message in the slogan or 'pay-off line' should connect to the product in the most appropriate way. It is the first step to take the prospective customers to the point of trying out the product. Of course, once the quality of the product is good enough and also the pricing being right, the brand name would get etched in the minds of the customers resulting in loyalty to the brand.

Dear BG
Yes thats True Slogan help establishment of any brand.
Consider a Popular Brand Name NOKIA
Just Forget all the TV/Mag/.. ad and tell what is NOKIA
I don't corelate this word to any common name in the Dic. Means I am unable to understand what is The Company NOKIA and what kind of stuff it sell.
That's Why Slogan needed "Connecting People"
Yeh I got Some this it must be some what communicating company

I Think you got my Point.
Just Remember Slogan Must be the product speciffic.
Consider another slogan "Hi Moto"
Just put a stress over your brain and think What the Hell is "
"MOTO"

And you may simply define why NOKIA Sells Mobile more then Other Stuff.

Note this is My Personal words.Niether I am the Person from MOTO OR NOKIA.

Certainly. Advertising slogans act as the blood channels of the brands. When the percentage of literacy and the purchasing power of the consumer are increasing, every business has to find better ways to reach the consumer and capture his/her desire of purchasing. This is more relevant now when globalization has become the order of the day. When the people are gazing at the sky through their telescopes, you cannot sit in a dark room closing your eyes. You have to move with the world!

Slogans are a necessity when the name of the product is not necessarily one that would instigate a purchase. For instance, Schmuckers Jelly. Now who in their right mind would purchase a jelly from a Schmuck? I personally helped with this slogan with those thoughts in mind. Their slogan came from my mouth first, "With a name like Schmuckers it has to be good". See what I mean? I was also the one who came up with, "I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Icecream". Do you need help?

Slogans help reinforce an association with a product. If it's something catchy/witty/etc., it's more likely to be remembered which then in turn boosts product recognition.

without any doubt if you want to increase the sale of any of ur product you must present it in a fancy way as the ppl. believe more on their eyes rather than quality at the very first instance but this doesn't mean that there eis no need to concentrate on quality . it should be foster to the taste o fkids along with the aged and young ones too.

Anytime you put a catchy saying or inovative idea out there you are increasing the chances of the consumer remembering who you are.
