Because of the right to choose and the wrong doing of killing a human.. but some people argue that it's not cuz the baby hasn't been born yet. Yeah we should still have freedom of choice on whether or not to do it. But it's illegal and the main argument is whether it is technically killing someone or not.. cuz some ppl really don't believe it's a live or killing someone until it's out of the mother's stomache. but yeah i still think it's wrong and should be illegal.. if they are willing to have sex then they are willing to have a baby and take up for their actions and handle the responsibilites of having a child in the first place.

I think it was around 1988. (Roe v. Wade was in 1972, if that was what you wanted to know) People started debating the issue, bringing up a bunch of questions on the side of the basic issue, such as rape victims, abortion as birth control, selective abortions so one baby from a set of triplets could live when it is doubtful the mother could successfully carry all three, and so on.
Its odd, the situation that led to the Roe v. Wade decision isn't relevant today. The part that gets left out of the debate (and has since I started hearing the debate) is the question of exactly when life begins. Answer that question convincingly and arguments about women's rights and killing babies go right out the window and the question is answered. No one seems to explore that angle--both sides are too into their cause--they don't want to find the point when an egg cell becomes a living human being.

Since the definition of embryo given by scientists!
Scientifically, a human embryo is considered as a 'biological parasite' which doesnt have mind, body and soul like us.
A woman is a growing life ! who has the 'right' should be protected by government's policy and law. If you give the right for embryo to live, who is going to protect right of liberty as a grown- up woman? Who right is better to be protected- a woman or embroys?
The question now is, if a woman knows for sure that her infant would not grow up with genetic defects , why general public allows her to be misreable and deny her right to live happily and let her infant suffers?

When the "left" and the "right" decided to make it a Partisan issue. It's NOT a legal thing.....it's a MORAL thing. The Law, and Society should stay the hell out of it, and let each case be decided by the individuals in question and the God they choose to worship.

The same time the government decided it had ultimate control over what people can and can't do. Like who we can marry, how much money we can make...see the government's job is to protect us, but they are overstepping their powers and setting new boundaries for what they are limited to govern...and now they are controlling us.

It's not about the government or the growing life. It's about a divisive issue that politicians use to motivate and mobilize their bases.

Its all about the woman in question. I trust her judgment over the government and the conservatives in making this difficult decision.

When they realized it could cost candidates votes depending on which way they lean.
That's all it's really about. The candidates don't really care about us, the populus. They want our votes, and to hell with everything else. They tell us what we want to hear so that we vote for them - then screw the people when they're in office.

Abortion is about the rights of a woman who is alive...not the rights of an embryo that is not alive.
