getting rid of information balloon's just above system tray?

Just installed windows xp home addition and tired of clicking on bothersome warning and other information on small balloon's telling me for example such and such is installed and ready to use etc. etc. thank you for i hope simple getting rid of same. robert morse charally1@aol.com

Have you tried rebooting your computer.Usually that will go away after you restart your PC.Good luck
