They now have a very humane way of getting rid of voles and moles using a small device that you stick in the ground which emits sound waves of a frequency that is displeasing to the vole within a certain radius of the unit. It is releatively inexpensive, easily found in any home depot, lowes, ace hardware and most local hardware stores or farm stores. I think they're great because they do not harm the animal and you do not have to handle a trap. I hope this helps

Catch and release traps work well but expect to clean up a nasty mess because the traps do not have 'bathrooms' for the mice. You will have to check the trap every day faithfully because if you forget the mice might die. The tendancy is not to check if the trap does not get a 'hit' in the first few days. Then when you do notice it a week later you have a dead mouse in it. Really nasty! Make sure to release them a long way from your home - at least 1000 feet or more otherwise you are defeating your purpose. They will come back and breed more.

For now, traps are the main suitable. you're able to be able to additionally desire to contemplate feeding you cats much less so as that they are pressured to become "working" pussycats. Plant castor beans in accordance on your areas policies. they're unlawful in some areas, yet could be extremely got here across on Ebay. They become 6-8 ft tall and are particularly captivating. Voles look to love their roots, that are poisonous. I planted a number of in my backyard close to my backyard and interior of one season had not greater voles.

I had them once, they never came back again. Maybe you'll be that lucky to. They don't really hurt anything, the grass grows back better than ever.
