You can disguise the scratches on the floor without sanding by filling them in with the color of the floor. There are marker pens you can purchase at the home improvement stores in almost every color of wood available. You simply follow the scratch with the pen and wipe off the excess. Or you can use either Old English or Howards Restore A Finish to fill in the scratches. Howards has the added benefit of restoring the shine back to the wood surface as well. It won't harm the finish either. Both are also available in the paint/stain aisle at the home improvement stores.
