You may be experiencing vaginal dryness. Or even worse, sometimes a yeast infection can keep you swollen, you know, from all that itching. Check the discharge, if its clear and thin, you are clear for take off. If its white and thick, you may have an infection. Make sure there's no odor.

I'm assuming you mean it's painful for him to enter. Usually this is caused by inadequate lubrication and/or anxiety. Lots of foreplay (kissing, cuddling, "making-out") before sex will help the woman "get in the mood" and will allow easier entry. Anxiety will increase muscle tone in the vagina and can make it painful as well. Not feeling rushed, feeling comfortable with your partner, etc. will help.

Unprotected sex can add to your anxiety. Questions like, "Am I going to get pregnant?" and "What if he has a disease?" are definite turn-offs.

Sometimes it's a question of lubrication.

Sometimes it'sa question of arousal.

Sufficient arousal typically results in adequate lubrication.

Why are you doing it without protection? You're a strong, smart girl, look after your own health, don't let a guy tell you it's okay when you know it's not!!

Maybe it needs more lubrication. Maybe the times when it goes in fine its because there was more fore play than the times when its harder.
