islam teaches all muslims to be brothers, similar to the christians. india is a majority hindu country. pakistan is a muslim nation. naturally, the muslim indians will side with their pakistani muslim brothers.

Because they get sufficient food and other amenities in India ,they can afford to dream about Pakistan.
By residence they are Indians and by heart they are Pakistanis
