I'm from america and studied here, Amsterdam, and Denmark. My impression is that california is way overrated. The university in amsterdam is sweet. It would be useful to know what you want to study...

The only problem with going to U California is that after you are there for a couple months, you will never want to go home! There are several campuses -- UC Santa Barbara is on a promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean - just far enough from LA to be out of the smog. You can get to Hollywood in less than 2 hours. The campus has paths for kids that use their skateboards to commute to class (they have a special kind of skateboard called a "longboard" designed just for this!) So many kids use the skateboard/bike paths that they had to put up Stop signs for the pedestrians to keep traffic under control between classes.

the in basic terms challenge with going to U California is that when you're there for a pair months, you'll not in any respect want to go abode! There are various campuses -- UC Santa Barbara is on a promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean - in basic terms far adequate from la to be out of the smog. you are able to get to Hollywood in decrease than 2 hours. The campus has paths for toddlers that use their skateboards to commute to class (they have a particular type of skateboard referred to as a "longboard" designed only for this!) such diverse young children use the skateboard/bike paths that they had to submit stop indicators for the pedestrians to save site visitors less than administration between instructions.

Which UC campus? I wouldn't recommend Davis or Riverside as a laugh a minute, but overall I'd say go for UC - it's an opportunity that will be harder and more expensive to obtain once you've graduated.
