It is certainly true that some women who have been on the Pill for a long time find they take some months to become pregnant Basic guidelines when trying to promote fertility are to get you into as good a shape as possible so that as and when you become pregnant you are less likely to miscarry and more likely to have a healthy pregnancy. If you smoke, stop - this is the single biggest benefit you can give yourself here. Make sure you are exercising regularly and are eating a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables. It is worth supplementing with folic acid before falling pregnant as this reduces the chances of spinal defects occurring in the foetus and keep your alcohol intake to a minimum, stopping completely when pregnant. Do not worry if you do not become pregnant quickly - no one will worry about a fertility problem until at least 15 months of continuous trying have elapsed. It takes some women months to get regular periods anyway after stopping the pill after long time use.
You can use condoms in the time you come off the pill until when you are ready to get pregnant

Personal. Everyone is different. We all react differently to birth control and when you stop the pill. Some women take 10 days to get back into cycle while some women take years. Just because it happened to someone you know doesn't mean it will happen to you.

I hope that they're not taking their birth control still. It varies between women and can take longer for your body to adjust to no contraceptive. If they've tried for more than a year or so, they may want to speak to their GYN and get tests on fertility (husbands as well need to be tested on sperm count). If they haven't been trying longer than a year, it's probably nothing to worry about. Best of luck!

I might pass with the IUD if I have been you. I had the Mirena IUD for three years, and feature lately had it eliminated to take a look at for little one quantity two. The IUD used to be painless to get in, I had it installed at my 6 week determine up after my daughter used to be born. It is secure to make use of if you're nursing your baby, and it lasts for five years!!! Plus you don't ought to fear approximately capsules or some thing else. The simplest consider I did not recognize while I bought the Mirena is that's can take awhile in your menstral cycles to go back to usual after having the IUD eliminated. I had mine eliminated in December 2008, and ago couple months my cycles have ultimately back to usual, instead of that, I HIGHLY advise the IUD!
