They are INDIANS. This is the type of Indian but there are many types under this Main Gouping. The Algonquins are a peaceful people from the East Coast. They are gardners who grow what they eat and fish for meat. They are quiet, family oriented, stay close to home, and are peaceful tribes.
Look up on the internet and you can get the many tribes that are under this title.

The Algonquins (Algonkin) Indians are North American Native Groups that live mostly in Canada. The word Algonquin means "at the place of spearing fishes and eels".

Their range was from NY state all the way through Michigan, Wisconsin up through Canada. I have been told by my mother that we are decendents of the Algonquin tribe.
