why would you want to shut it down?? If ytou don't like it don't go there. MySpcae is a tool and when it is used irresponsibly, the user is accountable or whoever is responsible for the user is accountable- not Myspace!
I'll bet your one of those that would sign a petition to get rid of all guns, knives, screwdrivers and plastic utensils,LOL
I have been on MySpace for a while now. I reject all invites from those that I have nothing in common with or whose pages are inappropriate and I have never been harrassed. I have been able to keep in touch and share photos and things with family all over the US and made some great new friends. There are dangers all over the internet- stalkers and indecency way before MySpace.
Frankly, I am tired of hearing people blame MySpace and the internet for other people's immaturity, irresponsibility and lack of parental control over their children.

I don't think it'll ever be shutdown. MySpace is owned by a multi-billion dollar company.
