If you are asking who I personally have sympathy with, it is the Palestinians. That is not to say that most Israeli citizens are just like you and me, trying to get on with their lives.
But Palestine does not have the multi-billion dollar backing of the United States or access to the latest weapons that Israel does. Thye have been given territories which are poor in resources and regularly blockaded by the Israeli government. Israel has built a new wall around the Palestinian territories, but conveniently for Israel it is sometimes 30km inside the borders, cutting off Palestinians from their land.
I don't know the answer to the problem, it is one of those perpetuating stalemates where many innocent people die. Nine times more Palestinians than Israelis are killed, by the way!

I wouldn't side with either Palestine or Israel, as all war and acts of violence are disgusting and should be condemned. However, both sides have valid points of view. The Israelis just want to live in the land that they feel is God-given, according to the bible. The Palestinians just want to be identified as a sovereign state, but also to live in Israel. I think that the sad thing is that the whole situation has been caused by the international community in 1948, when (I think in was) the UN gave Israel the land as an apology for the Nazi Holocaust. However, this was done without consulting the Palestinian settlers and hence the current situation where they are senselessly killing each other. I think that now, the UN has a responsibility to step in and start to draft up an agreement that both sides can and will adhere to. Negotiation is always the more power force compared to war.

Goverments tend to make money from war believe it or not. There are family members on both sides. It is not about religion as politicians would lead you to believe. It is about the land and whats under the land. In this case the land is owned by the Palestines. They did not want this land so they let the Isrealis use this land. The water was turned into drinkable water. When this happened the Palestines realized this land is now valuable so they said get off out land. So this is the big part. The USA is involved because Isreal is located strategically for use. It is better for an ally to occupy this land than and enemy. The muslims and westerners have great differences idealogically. Western thinking people like us tend to want to force our will on other nations. It seems to be our custom. It is how we began our origins in America with the native Indians and slaves from Africa.
Who is right? It all depends if you think war is right. If you do then both sides are right. If you think it is wrong then both sides are wrong. With Sharon and Arafat gone it will appear things will get better and you will see everything will remain the same. This started in 1946.
Of course if you asked this question 10 years ago 90% of people would have sided with Isreal but now with different news coverage and showing more violence by Isreali's I believe peoples ideas on who is wrong has gone to the center 50/50. Many people continue to travel and vacation in Jerusalem from all over the world no matter the battles currently going on.

They have both arguments...but I think that using book( that we don't even know if the facts in there are real or fiction) to justify the occupation of a land it's wrong...
I don't care who lived there 2000 years ago,'cos based on that US should give the land back to the native Americans ...and this is available for many countries...It was the Arabs who lived there for the last hundreds of years, not Jews...
So I would side with the Palestinians, against the Israelis...

Whats done is done..It also the surrounding nations, that have so much land to spare ,if peace is what everyone wants youd think they'd give up a small section of land each,If not to the Israelis at least to the palestinians.
Where could the Israelis go,who would take them, who would offer,Who would compromise?
Todays mindset has to be bred out and the new generations Not be taught revenge is the only alternative.
Both sides have had enough.
but then Trully I dont have the answer either in real terms.
god bless them all..

There has been alot of evil stuff done on both sides, but the recent actions by Israel have been completely out of proportion. If this is a question of "who has killed the most people?" the answer is Israel.
There isn't an easy answer, and no one side is in the right or wrong completely, but the complete refusal to grant the Palestinians their own land is a travesty of human rights.
The wall idea seemed a bit of shoddy thinking as well. Did no one tell them about Berlin?

Both basically. Land was unjustly taken from the Palestinians by several powers and given to the Israelis. But the Palestinians seek to solve the problem through disgusting displays of violence against innocents. It's a messed up situation all around.

That's a tough question! I think at times they are both in the wrong but if I HAD to pick sides it would be with the Israelis. The Palestinians have proven (to me anyway) that they have no regard for the innocent lives of civilians i.e. women and children. I can think of no more reprehensible a target group than folks on a bus on their way to the market.
Have a great day!!!

If only life was as simple as this, who is right and who is wrong. We would have solved everything hundreds of years ago.
We have to trace everything back to the past, ancient history of man and earth. the vagaries of lifestyles, and more importantly the changing living and moving earth for the root of the problem.
At the end of the day, any answers from the past will still not solve their problems. so today, what these two countries are doing is trying to coexist. WHy? so their children will have the chance to grow up normally. If the coexistence will not work this generation, it might work in the next one.

The issue isn't about right or wrong. Certainly both sides have been right and wrong during the many years they have clashed, but I don't believe either side is being wronged more than the other.
At this point in their history it's about retaliation and avenging the deaths of their families and countrymen. There will be no peace until the leaders of both countries agree on the borders and purge their countries of extremist groups.
