I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I keep getting little black spot appearing in my vision. This is going to sound odd, but they look like little bugs running around across my vision. I looked it up, athey call them "floaters". Several weeks ago I was having blurred vision accompanied by flashes of light and migraines. I went to my doctor about that problem, and she said I'm fine (that it is common to have that happen while pregnant).

What about these spots...Is it just from the pregnancy?

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have my next prenatal appointment soon, so I will ask my doctor about it then...I just was curious if anyone else knows anything about this. Thank you :)nd

Yes, this can be normal for pregnancy, especially in the 3rd trimester. I experienced the same thing in all 3 of my pregnancies. Also had the blurred vision and migraines. The doc says it has something to do with the pressure the baby is putting on your body, your blood pressure, and some other things. However, I also understand that while normal in some pregnancies, this can also be the signs of a more serious problem. Not that the baby is in trouble or anything, but that you might be developing any one of the many afflictions that trouble many pregnant women such as high blood pressure, toxemia, etc. it would definitly be worth while to give your OB Nurse a call and question the floaters. Just to put you at rest until your next appt. They are there for those kinds of things.... they expect you to call with those kind of questions. No matter what the nurse tells you, it might be benifitial to go to your local drug store and have your blood pressure taken just to make sure it isn't to elevated.

Good luck with the balance of your pregnancy and may God bless you and yours.

I'm 53 and had developed eye floaters about 4 or 5 years ago. The doctors told me that they're harmless, but whoever has had them knows how annoying they are. They also said that I could have them "burned off" with laser surgery, but there was no way I was going to "burn" anything off my eyes! So I kind of accepted that my floaters were there to stay.

Then I came across this system, and seeing that you were offering a full money back guarantee, I figured I had nothing to lose well I was wrong - I did lose my floaters!! Oh my god I still can't believe my floaters are gone and my vision is as pristine as it was 5 years ago!

Getting rid of eye floaters without the high costs & dangers of laser treatments?

There may be times where it could be normal.... BUT....
Not to scare you...and I don't know your real specific situation...but- all I can say is I had those same problems and I ended up having preeclampsia. My ob/gyn did nothing about it..I had symptons the whole time..then one day my sight got so bad I called the nurse line at my insurance and they were in a panic and advised that I explain what I had told them to my primary care doc..which I did and he had an appointment the very next day with a new ob/gyn. When I switched my new ob shared my records- I was lucky to be alive much less my unborn child. The spots (floaters) I had were basically when my blood pressure skyrocketed. I say this to ask you to watch- not to scare you. Having had a friend just lose a baby because of having this..I really had no idea how very lucky I was.

From Yahoo Health (http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/hw2834/hw2868)

"Symptoms

High blood pressure

If you have developed high blood pressure, you will probably not have any symptoms. It usually requires a blood pressure check with a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope to detect elevated blood pressure.

Blood pressure measured at 140/90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) or higher is classified as high (hypertensive); 160/110 mm Hg or higher is classified as severe. See classification of blood pressure for more information.

Preeclampsia

Symptoms of preeclampsia can develop gradually or suddenly. Symptoms include:

Swelling of the hands and face that does not go away during the day. (If you have no other signs or symptoms of preeclampsia, this swelling is probably a sign of normal pregnancy.)
Rapid weight gain [more than 2 lb (0.91 kg) per week or 6 lb (2.72 kg) per month].
Bleeding from a cut or injury that lasts longer than usual.
Severe preeclampsia

As blood circulation to the organs decreases, more severe symptoms can develop, including:

A severe headache that will not go away with medication such as acetaminophen.
Blurred or dimming vision, spots in the visual field, or periods of blindness.
Decreased urination [less than 2 cups (473 mL) in 24 hours].
Persistent abdominal pain or tenderness, especially on the upper right side.
Difficulty breathing, especially when lying flat.
Severe preeclampsia increases the risk of seizures (eclampsia)."

Yes Yes Yes, finally someone that had had the same symptoms as I did. I had the spots or floaters in my vision as well. I thought I was losing it when it first happened, but my doctor also informed me that this was a common symptom. The saw the spots again during sometime after my first child when I thought I was pregnant (and I was) and that's when it really hit me that these spots are pretty normal.
