What's the best shade of eyeshadow for a dark-skinned woman?

I would say exotic or earthy colors tend to fit chocolates best (forgive the expression, I just love calling medium-dark skinned girls like us as chocolates! ; ) ) I strongly suggest emerald (greens), deep violet (purples), beige/bronze/light 'saddle' brown (browns) and rosy-brown (pinks). As a Mary Kay consultant, we've had some info about matching eyeshadows . . . try a dark maroon, anything w/ a shimmer . . . gold would be nice too! Also a silver shimmer would work, depending on how dramatic of a statement you want to make!

I was always told by a girl in high school who took cosmetology that if you are dark skinned, than you should were light & bright colors, and if you are light skinned, you should wear dark colors. I think it would also depend on your eye color, hair color, & how much make-up you usually wear.

well although i am whiter than a freakin cloud lol ummm i think dark/glittery purple wood do best for u my best friend has dark skin and she look beautiful in that color

I think dark-skinned persons should wear natural earthy colors to really bring out their beauty...like bronze, era, bare essentials...nothing to strong.
