press start,go to programes,go to accessories,go to system tools, then go to backup, select backup files and settings,.press next.on the next page select either backup my desktop and settings or select backup all information on this computer. on the next page choose the drive to backup to(dvd rewriter) and a name for the disk, then it will backup for you.this is assuming you have a dvd re writer installed on your PC of coarse

go to the start button, progams, then go to accessories and go to recovery or something like that if you have an hp its gonna be simple but for a dell its gonna suck. i suggest you read the manual that came with the pc, if you dont have the manual do what i said with the start button. it might be under system tools.
