I just recently found a black antique metal frame stand (beautiful) and a poorly taken care of fish tank. It has some chips on the edges, however I have taken the time to completly reseal the enite tankn and buy replacment bulbs (the only ones I could find that would fit) and rewire the hood. It all works now, but the lights are not very bright. The hood doesn't exactly fit the tank. The edges fit flush with thoutermost edge of the tank ( I'll probobly cut it down to make it fit) Here its is. THe lights tha fir the tank, are not very bright nor are they florecent. I turned them on with tank empty (I just resealed this old relic) and they give off a yellow glow. The lights I bought are ulta glows... Does anyone know how I can get a new light fixture for this tank and make it glow like my others? It just seems so dead. Help would be appreciated..

You can go to any pet store that sells aquariums and buy a new hood or get flourecent light bulbs for it. Do you know how many gallons it is? If not, just take the dimensions from the top of the tank and match them with another hood. You really should get flourescent light bulbs because they will not heat up your tank like others will.

As long as the tank is all glass then you can just go to any pet store and buy a new hood with fluorescent lights for the tank or just a new light strip. But if the tank it also very old and it has a slate bottom with a metal frame then any new hood that you buy may not fit.

Sorry. I just built a pond for my fishes outside. I put orange lights on the bottom though if that helps.
