that you clouted them?

My ex did that to my daughter once, after she went missing for a while. "Where have you been?" She ranted "I was worried sick about you!" Then thwack! "Don't you ever do anything like that ever again!"

I mean, what IS that all about. And why is it that only women seem to do it - thump people because they were worried about their well-being?

She was worried because she loves her AND she smacked her because she loves her! "Spare the rod, spoil the child" is still true today. I don't believe in HITTING a child, but a good spanking is sometimes necessary to help them no beyond a shadow of a doubt that what they did was wrong, and they should not ever do it again! (I KNOW I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this, so Bring IT ON!)

My sister did that to my niece. What most parents forget is that children are children...they don't think about the things that we do. When our kids are out we think of every possible thing that could happen...in a kids mind, they're just having fun. They should sit and talk with their kids...tell them..."when you do this...this is what I think could happen...let's work together"

Spanking should be only for dicipline not becuase they are letting out all their anger from worrying.
