I think it is more lame that he is immortal for no reason

The reason he won't die is because he is the BOGEYMAN!!! He is not supposed to. He also is no longer human, but the total embodiment of pure evil.

When "Halloween" stops making money, Michael Myers will die. He was supposed to be killed in "Halloween II". The producers then planned a series of Halloween-themed movies that had nothing to do with Michael Meyers. "Halloween III: The Season of the Witch" tanked at the box office. And people wanted more Michael. So without explaining how he survived the fire in Part II, they brought him back. They've never given an explanation as to how he survived the sequels, other than to say he's "pure evil" and therefore not human. This totally contradicts the first movie, but as long as people buy tickets, they'll crank out sequels.

Maybe it's psychotic rage that keeps him "alive". You know how sometimes when people have a severe rush of adrenaline they can do pretty amazing things. For example, my uncle was working under a car and the jack slipped and the tire landed right on his chest, in one swift movement he lifted the car off him and slid out.
It could be the same for Michael Myers. He is sooo psychotic and so filled anger and demented that it keeps him alive!!
Just a theory. Or...it could just be a ploy to make more movies.

I have no idea why he won't die. Maybe he is to darn evil to die. I can handle any horror guy, Pinhead, Jason, Freddy...but Michael Myers scares the crap out of me!

It because he always manages to get out of really getting hurt...like in the first movie i think he was shot once so it wasn't fatal...second movie he was burn but they sent him to a hospital to recover...4 movie he managed to get out of the way before they killed him...5 movie he was saved by a man before he was killed...i haven't seen the 6th movie but i think there's a reason...the 7th movie(h2o) he managed to get way and make some else get killed instead of him...8th movie he was burned so i guess i wasn't fatal......i don't think he will ever die cuz they need more money so they make more movies..
