Not knowing the year of the movie - it was about three catholic girls who while in school one became pregnant. They gave the baby up for adoption who turned out to be a movie/model star. She then tracked the three down to determine who her mother was - in the end it wasnt who everyone would have assumed it would have been it was the blond in the movie.

"Lace" from 1984. It was a made for tv movie. It starred Bess Armstrong, Angela Landsbury and Phoebe Cates.
