i dont know about the young ones,but how many of you folks like old country and bluegrass,if so whos your favorite?

Old country for sure...my parents think it is crazy being some of the artists (like Don Williams/I believe) is even before their time! I have to say though Jonny Cash is one of my favs. My hubby is also a huge fan (Waylan & Merle) I often have to ask him who the artist is and 99% of the time he can tell me:)

I was born in Nashville and still live there. Funny thing is I have never liked country music. I can listen to a little bit of bluegrass but that is very little. I do have a lot of respect for the people that write and perform the music though.

I hate country music in virtually all its forms, but I'm a HUGE fan of modern bluegrass. These are my favorites:
Yonder Mountain String Band
Sam Bush
Doyle Lawson
Uncle Earl
Blue Highway

Not that wild about old country, but bluegrass is good and Steve Earl comes to mind as does Bela Fleck. Patsy Cline was good too as was Johnny Cash and June Carter.

I like bluegrass, I can't name any particular artists or anything but I have had occassion to hear it and I enjoy it because it's fun, upbeat music. Some old country I like. I own a Patsy Cline greatest hits CD, I also like Hank Williams and Marty Robbins.

We love it that is why we go to Branson, Mo 2 or three times a year!!!!!!!!! Ricky Skaggs is our favoirte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
