Good point and good question. In the schools they really don’t teach capitalism, they do, but it is very basic. Most people don’t even realize that America was designed around capitalism. Unfortunately most of the American public doesn’t understand how capitalism works. Then what they do is complain and whine about everything and demand more from the government. The politicians see this and instead of standing up and educating people, they just give in. The democrats really want a socialistic country while the republicans want a capitalistic country. This is part of the reason why we are moving away from a true capitalistic country. Capitalism works if we stick with it, but as you state most people don’t understand it. Have you ever heard the old saying,
give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time. The Dem's want to give people the fish, they want them to be reliant on the government. The republicans want to teach the citizens how to fish and feed themselves. If people feed themselves it is less of a drain on the economy.

The Gadfly makes my point exactly. She has no idea how capitalsim should work.

Pretty cool stat...but I think Someone on Mike and Mike said it best a few years ago. "We're making progress, when its not a big deal". Like other people said (albeit while complaining) it would be great to have Hispanic coaches, and Russian coaches, but the fact is that those cultures don't play football. If you look at the NFL, its 55% black, 40% white, and like 5% every other race, so its only natural that there would really only be black and white coaches...this wouldn't even be an issue if there weren't racist owners back in the day that wouldn't give these guys a chance...I just hope that sometime soon.. this really won''t be a story.

Because many people have a big heart but NO head! They want want to do their good with people's money. So it just doesn't make sense to work to support such government waste - income redistribution is a major socialist program this sure reduces the incentive to create things and improve the economy.

Who told you America is going away from capitalism? From where I sit, it is most definately in the throes of Imperialism. Capitalism can't exist in a third world country, and the US isnt a Third World country yet. Soon as there is no middle class left, capitalism isnt going to work anymore and they'll have to come up with something else.

Capitalism is the most evil corrupt system ever devised. It has absolutely no conscience and nothing matters except making profit. People are mere tools to be used and disposed of as corporations see fit. Let's hope we get over it before it destroys the whole world.
