For example, on your hands or face. If so, are they a huge problem for you? Would you have surgery to cover them up if it was a viable option? Or do you think that, seeing as they are a part of you, you should keep them?

I have a few scars that are always visible. Have one on my face that I used to try to hide, but have given up on that a long time ago, cause I'm a beautiful person despite the scar. Have some on my hands and they don't bug me at all. Just show that I work with my hands a lot. Have two that are only visible when I wear a swimsuit or birthday suit. I don't like them as much so don't run around in a swimsuit or birthday suit much, but I have had them for so long, what's the point in surgery to fix them? When I wear shorts, I have a couple small ones on my legs that no one notices, but i know they are there. Never have thought about trying to get rid of them by surgery, guess they serve as reminders of the past and are part of who I am.

I have a scar at the outer corner of my eye, from someone swinging a rounders bat too energetically at school. Had that since I was 10. First 2 fingers of my right hand were virtually hanging off and were stitched back after someone was playing about with a meat cleaver (yeah, I know) and did'nt see my hand in the way. Maybe if I won the lottery, I might try and see if surgery is possible to cover the scar near my eye cos it looks like deep wrinkles.

To quote a song, our scars remind us that the past is real. I would never get plastic surgery for my scars, because none of them are really that major. I can understand why some people would want plastic surgery, if the scars were huge and disfiguring, or on their face. Scars are a part of you and just add to your character. I think some scars are kinda sexy, hehe.

Yep, under my right eye. I have two. The one that is right under my right eye is longer then the one right below it. I got nipped by a puppy when I was a baby and then a couple days later the puppy nipped me again. I have two really big scars on my left knee and a whole bunch of little ones on my right knee (i fell off my bike and had gravel embedded into my knee) As my dad always said, "I am an accident waiting to happen." I would never have then removed, they are who I am, a KLUTZ. :O)

well:have so many due to 23 surgeries, that it would cost an arm and a leg to get rid off them. And by the way they are fully accepted by me.
I am fine with them.

WELL I HAVE A GOOD ONE ON MY KNEE
BUT I ALSO HAVE A SMALL ONE ON MY FOREHEAD
ITS NOTICABLE...
BUT
I WOULDN'T CHANGE THAT IT S THERE
I THINK OF IT AS A MEMORY AND YOU CANNOT CHANGE HISTORY
ID KEEP ANY SCAR I HAVE/MAY HAVE
BECAUSE IF THE PEOPLE I HANG OUT WITH WERE TO JUDGE ME DIFFERNTLY/MEANLY BECASUE I HAD THE SCAR THEN THEY ARE NOT REAL FRIENDS ANYWAY!
