Celebrities in particualar because, for example, they have done an episode where Oprahs vagina and anus where the main characters and others such as one making Barbara Streisand out to be the evil character (she then turns into a big robot...).
Why is South Park never sued?

I think some of the Scientoligists may have tried when South Park made fun of their religion. But I think most celebrities understand that being made fun of is part of being a celebrity, and that you look like a big baby if you try to sue. I think they just blow it off so no one realizes it may have offended them.

Because a lot of the time they get the celebs to do "guest spots" on the show. For example, in the episode where Stan's dog is gay and runs away to live with Big Gay Al, the voice of the dog is actually done by George Clooney. You'd never think a big star like him would want to play a gay dog, would you? And his only line is "arf!".

Any celebs that do attempt to sue know that they'd be ridiculed further for not having a sense of humor.

For a parody!!! Even Lawyers know better than to attempt that one. Also , carefully read the disclaimer at the beginning of every episode.

Didn't Tom Cruise threaten to sue if they showed the episode of him not wanting to come out of the closet? I think SP would win because of Freedom of Speech.
